Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland pours cold water over links with Chelsea following a reported player-plus-cash offer from the Blues.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland has brushed off speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea this summer.

The former Red Bull Salzburg man was reportedly the subject of a player-plus-cash bid from the Blues, who were thought to be willing to offer Tammy Abraham or Callum Hudson-Odoi to BVB as part of a deal.

However, Haaland has affirmed that he is excited to work under new head coach Marco Rose and is refusing to be drawn into discussions over his next career move.

Speaking to the press during Dortmund's pre-season training camp in Switzerland, Haaland said: "I don't really have much to say about this. I have three years left on my contract and I'm enjoying my time here [at Dortmund].

"Before yesterday, I didn't speak to my agent in one month - I think you have the answer there. I don't really care too much about that. It's a lot of money - I hope it's just rumours to be honest because that's a lot of money for a person."

Chelsea are thought to be preparing a new bid of £130m for the Norwegian centre-forward, but Dortmund are expected to hold out for a fee of £149m this summer.

Haaland's £68m release clause activates at the end of next season, though, and Manchester United are still thought to be weighing up a swoop in 2022.
