Notts County boss Shaun Derry has expressed his delight at the signing of goalkeeper Roy Carroll.
The former Manchester United shotstopper penned a one-year deal with the League One club on Monday after impressing during a trial period.
Carroll had spent the past two seasons at Olympiacos before being released by the Greek side earlier this summer.
"I think if someone was to say you've got a chance of signing someone who's played in the Champions League and for his country, you've got to look at him," Derry told the club's official website.
"I'm pleased because I'm very much looking forward to learning from him personally. He's got a history that stretches to some fantastic football clubs and as a young manager I want to learn from people as well."
Carroll has won 35 caps for the Northern Ireland national team.
