Gordon Durie "delighted" with Rangers result

Rangers coach Gordon Durie says that he is "delighted" with the team's win over Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship.

Rangers coach Gordon Durie has said that he is delighted with the team's win over Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship this evening, ending a run of three straight defeats in all competitions.

Goals from Andy Murdoch and Kris Boyd at Stark's Park were enough to lift the side back up to second in the table with a 2-1 win.

Durie told BBC Sport: "We probably made it a bit harder for ourselves in the last 15 minutes by switching off and giving them a goal.

"We probably should have been out of sight by that time, but delighted with the three points and I think the score flattered them.

"I've had Andy with the Under-20s. He's got a great attitude and has goals like that in his locker. He's got his chance and he's come in and taken it. I'm delighted not just for him. I think the whole team showed a spirit that's what we need for the rest of the season."

Rangers face Falkirk in their next match next Friday.
