This afternoon's Serie A match between Roma and Parma has been abandoned due to adverse weather conditions.

During the pre-match pitch inspection, the referee was concerned with the heavy water on the playing surface, but after consulting the team captains, the game went ahead.

After eight minutes of the match, it became clear that the conditions were too dangerous to continue, and the referee made the decision to stop the play.

Roma went into the game second in the Serie A table and with the chance of moving within three points of leaders Juventus.
