Vicente del Bosque in line for new Spain deal

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque will sign a new deal with the world and European champions before next summer's World Cup.

The Spanish Football Federation's general secretary has confirmed that Vicente del Bosque will soon sign a new deal with the world and European champions.

Tuesday's 2-0 win over Georgia ensured that Spain topped Group I, booking their spot at next summer's World Cup in the process.

The 62-year-old's current deal expires next year, but Jorge Perez has confirmed that a new contract will be signed before the tournament gets underway next summer.

"We have already spoken with him and it is all pretty clear," Perez told Cadena Cope.

"I do not know when it will be signed, we have months ahead of us. We will get to the World Cup with it renewed. There is no rush to make it official. We'll do it before the World Cup."

Del Bosque took charge of Spain in 2008.
