Tim Sherwood pleased with win over Stoke City

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood praises his side after their 3-0 win over Stoke City.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has said that he is pleased with his team following their 3-0 victory over Stoke City.

Spurs claimed their first home league win in five outings, thanks to goals from Roberto Soldado, Moussa Dembele, Aaron Lennon, and Sherwood was glad at how clinical his side were in the final third.

"I thought they played well from start to finish," BBC Sport quotes him as saying. "Two goals is never enough. We know what Stoke are about. They can hang on and get a scrappy goal.

"We took some of our chances - a few more went missing. I was very pleased with some of the young boys that came in. It's good start [to my tenure] but we know there are tougher tests ahead."

Tottenham moved up to seventh place in the Premier League table following today's result.
