Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly appeal against the red card handed to left-back Danny Rose during their 5-1 defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday evening.
Rose was dismissed in the 50th minute of the match after challenging Edin Dzeko from behind in the penalty area, despite television replays showing that he made contact with the ball.
Referee Andre Marriner appeared to have awarded a corner after the tackle, but gave the penalty after consulting with his assistant.
According to Sky Sports News, Tottenham will attempt to overturn the red card after head coach Tim Sherwood questioned the sending-off of Rose.
The club must appeal to the Football Association by Thursday evening.
