Fulham's Dimitar Berbatov is reportedly keen on making a return to his former club Tottenham Hotspur before the transfer window closes on Friday evening.
Spurs face competition from Turkish side Besiktas for the Bulgarian forward's signature, but Berbatov is hoping to remain in London, according to The Telegraph.
Lewis Holtby is poised to join Fulham from Spurs on loan until the end of the season, and Berbatov is said to be optimistic that this deal will pave the way for him to move in the other direction.
The 33-year-old, who has five months remaining on his contract, is reportedly aiming to remain in England until the end of the season before considering a summer move to Besiktas.
