Dele Alli 'to test Daniel Levy's wage structure'

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is reportedly preparing to seek a significant increase in his wages.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is reportedly planning to test owner Daniel Levy's notoriously tough stance on wages.

The 21-year-old split from his long-term management company Impact Sports Management last month and is now allegedly the subject of a tug-of-war between 'super' agents Jorge Mendes and Mino Raiola.

According to The Mirror, whichever agency manages to secure Alli as a client will immediately set about trying to earn him a new deal with Spurs.

Levy has a policy of negotiating new deals with Spurs' top stars every year but refuses to break a wage structure that sees top earner Hugo Lloris take home £120,000, a figure dwarfed by that of the top clubs in the league and even the likes of West Ham United and Crystal Palace.

Alli is currently thought to pocket £80,000 a week and has five years remaining on his existing deal but should those terms not be improved, the attacker could look to move elsewhere.

The England international moved to Spurs from MK Dons in 2015.
