Craig Bellamy doubts that the GB football team will have a future after London 2012.

Craig Bellamy has admitted he believes that Team GB will not have a football team in the Olympics after London 2012.

The Liverpool striker is part of the team who could progress to the quarter-finals of the men's tournament later this evening, but he believes that because of political obstacles, there will not be a team in future Olympic Games.

Asked on the prospect of the team competing in Rio in four years' time, Bellamy said: "I am sure it would be beneficial and I would love to see it happen again.

"From my own experience, it has been outstanding, one of the best experiences I have had as a footballer.

"But I think this is probably the last time it will happen, which would be a shame."

Team GB will qualify for the quarter-finals if they avoid defeat to Uruguay.
