Chris Coleman relishing Zlatan Ibrahimovic test

Wales manager Chris Coleman says that his players are looking forward to coming up against Zlatan Ibrahimovic when they face Sweden in their final Euro 2016 warm-up game.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has said that his players are looking forward to the prospect of coming up against Zlatan Ibrahimovic when they take on Sweden in their final Euro 2016 warm-up match on Sunday.

Ibrahimovic is part of the Sweden squad that will travel to this summer's tournament having scored a career-best 50 goals in 51 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain last season, but he missed the 0-0 draw with Slovenia on Monday due to a calf injury.

Coleman is hopeful that the mercurial 34-year-old will feature at the Friends Arena in Solna, however, as his side finalise their preparations for their first major international tournament in 58 years.

"I don't think any of my players have played against Zlatan. Ben Davies, Ashley Williams, James Chester and Neil Taylor are Premier League players and are playing against top strikers every week. But there is only one Zlatan and he is one of a kind on the planet in terms of how he plays," he told reporters.

"He is a monster of a man. He is mobile, scores goals anywhere and any way. It will be a new test for them, but it is not something they will be fearful of. They will look forward to the test and it will be a challenge. We need to make sure we are ready for it."

Coleman also hinted that Gareth Bale would not start the match following his Champions League success with Real Madrid last weekend, but is hopeful that the winger will feature at some point.

"It was 120 minutes for Gareth last week and it is also what happened 48 hours later. Gareth doesn't drink alcohol, but it's the travel and celebrating. So we will look at that," he added.

"But if there is a chance that we can give him some minutes. then yes we will. It is important for him to be not only on the training pitch, but the real thing before we kick off."

Wales get their Euro 2016 campaign underway against Slovakia on June 11.
