Hoffenheim lose to second division 1860 Munich in DFB-Pokal

Second division side 1860 Munich upset Bundesliga team Hoffenheim 2-0 in the DFB-Pokal.

Struggling second division outfit 1860 Munich upset Europa League hopefuls Hoffenheim in the DFB-Pokal this evening with a 2-0 victory.

The game was a scrappy affair throughout but Munich went in front after a goal from South African midfielder Daylon Claasen.

Milos Degenek, Jeremy Toljan and Kevin Volland all received yellow cards within minutes of each other as the game threatened to erupt but nothing came of it.

Fejsal Mulic then got Munich's second of the day with the last kick of the afternoon.

Hoffenheim will be hoping for a better result next week when they kick off their Bundesliga campaign away at Bayer Leverkusen.
