Newcastle United right-back Kieran Trippier has been named the Premier League Defender of the Season in the annual Sports Mole Readers' Awards.
The 32-year-old was an ever-present for the Magpies as they enjoyed huge improvement in the league, finishing fourth and qualifying for the Champions League compared to an 11th-placed finish last season.
Trippier helped Newcastle to post the joint-best defensive record in the division, although his main contributions arguably came at the other end of the pitch.
The England international created 110 chances for his teammates - a tally only Bruno Fernandes could beat in the league this term - and delivered 393 crosses in total, a whopping 141 more deliveries than anyone else in the competition.
Those contributions earned him 32% of your votes as the best defender in our end-of-season awards, comfortably clear of second-placed William Saliba, who earned 18% of the votes.
The Arsenal centre-back helped the Gunners launch a title bid and sit top of the table for the vast majority of the season, while their late hiccup which ultimately cost them top spot coincided with Saliba missing a spell through injury.
Champions Manchester City round off the top five of the voting, with Ruben Dias (14.8%) completing the podium and Manuel Akanji (9.8%) and John Stones (9.5%) also finishing in the top five.
