Report: Mathieu Debuchy ruled out for minimum of two months

Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy will miss the next two months of the season as a result of the ankle injury sustained against Manchester City, a report claims.

The ankle injury sustained by Mathieu Debuchy in Arsenal's 2-2 draw against Manchester City will reportedly see the defender ruled out of action for at least two months.

Debuchy, who joined the club from Newcastle United during the summer transfer window, landed awkwardly on his left leg before being stretchered off at the Emirates Stadium yesterday afternoon.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger admitted after the game that the injury "does not look good", while the 29-year-old later took to Twitter to confirm that he will undergo a scan on Monday.

French publication Le Parisien reports that Debuchy now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines which could see him miss a string of key fixtures.

Arsenal are currently seventh in the Premier League table following yesterday's draw.
