Still dreaming of a magnificent quadruple, Liverpool make the long journey south to square off with Plymouth Argyle in Sunday's FA Cup fourth-round encounter.
Arne Slot's men eased to a 4-0 triumph over Accrington Stanley in their opening match of the competition and marched to an identical win over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday evening, thus erasing a 1-0 deficit in the EFL Cup semi-finals and setting up a showpiece event with Newcastle United.
While the Reds were handed a straightforward route to the fourth round, Plymouth had to pull off a cup giant killing to earn a date with Liverpool, stunning Brentford 1-0 away from home thanks to the now-departed Morgan Whittaker.
Here, Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at the head-to-head record and previous meetings between the two sides.

Head-to-head record
Previous meetings: 10
Plymouth wins: 2
Draws: 4
Liverpool wins: 6
Two teams that used to be familiar foes in the 1950s and 1960s but have only met on a handful of occasions since, Liverpool and Plymouth Argyle will go head-to-head for just the 13th time in the 2024-25 FA Cup fourth round.
The Reds unsurprisingly boast the overall bragging rights, albeit not by much, as they have won six of their previous 12 battles, have been held to a draw on four occasions and have suffered defeat to their Devon foes twice.
Plymouth provided a stern test to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup, where Argyle - then under the wing of Derek Adams - held a Reds side comprising Emre Can, Divock Origi and a young Trent Alexander-Arnold to a goalless draw at Anfield.
However, Klopp's men advanced at the second time of asking at Home Park 10 days later, as Lucas Leiva headed in the only goal of the contest from a Philippe Coutinho corner, stretching the Reds' unbeaten run against Plymouth to six matches in the process.
Before the 21st century, Plymouth and Liverpool exclusively met in the Second Division from their inaugural meeting in 1954 to 1962, where the Reds won under half of their showdowns - four out of 10 - and both of their losses came away from home.
The first-ever head-to-head between the Reds and Argyle in 1954 actually went the way of Plymouth, who prevailed 1-0 on that occasion, a year and a half before thrashing the Merseyside giants 4-0 in 1956 for their most recent victory in this fixture.
Neil Langman struck a hat-trick for Plymouth on that occasion, and that treble alone makes him the second-highest scorer in the history of this fixture, only behind Alan A'Court's five for Liverpool.
