Tensions are reportedly growing behind the scenes at Arsenal as Alexis Sanchez's attitude has split the dressing room down the middle.

Alexis Sanchez has reportedly created a divide in the Arsenal dressing room with his sulky behaviour, as he attempts to force through a winter transfer.

The Chile international was on the brink of leaving the Emirates Stadium for Manchester City in the summer, only for a £55m deadline-day deal to fall through.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reluctant to offload Sanchez in January, despite the prospect of losing him to a domestic rival on a free contract five months later.

According to The Sun, the 29-year-old has been at the centre of heated rows on the training ground as frustrations continue to grow regarding his future.

A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "There has been a growing tension between some of the players and Sanchez. They are upset over his attitude around the club.

"It's happened at the training ground and in the dressing room. It's been brewing a while now. He clearly wants out of the club and the others feel he is doing more bad than good."

Sanchez has yet to hit the heights of last season this time around, scoring five goals in 17 appearances since his summer exit collapsed.
