Harry Arter: 'Bournemouth don't need Jack Wilshere to beat Arsenal'

Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter describes Jack Wilshere as "an unbelievable player", but says that his side can cope without him when they face Arsenal this weekend.

Harry Arter has insisted that Bournemouth will face Arsenal in a confident mood this weekend, even without influential midfielder Jack Wilshere in their ranks.

The England international, on a season-long loan at the Vitality Stadium, is ineligible to feature against his parent club in Sunday's Premier League clash.

Despite Wilshere being absent for the trip to North London, Arter is hopeful that his side can pull off another big scalp as they continue their surge up the table, with the Cherries currently 10th in the division after returning to winning ways at Stoke City last time out.

"Jack's an unbelievable player - probably one of England's most talented players, and one of our most talented players in the squad without a shadow of a doubt," he told BBC Sport.

"I can't pinpoint one thing I've learned from him. But his all-round game can take not just myself, but everyone on to the next level. He's getting fitter and that can only be good for England and also ourselves.

"I think these kind of clubs (Arsenal) always have the pressure on them. The fans will be expecting them to beat us. With some hard work and a bit of luck, we can pick something up. If we can stay in the game and get a break, I'm sure it will get a bit nervy at their end and that's when we feel we can hurt them."

Wilshere has started eight Premier League games for Bournemouth this season and is currently on his longest-ever run of successive 90-minute appearances in the top flight.
