Santi Cazorla pleased with "mature" Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla credits the team's maturity for their strong start to the season.

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has credited the team's maturity for their strong start to the Premier League season.

The Gunners are currently two points clear at the top of the table with eight wins from their first 11 games.

Cazorla believes that an increased level of focus has helped the side begin the campaign in positive form.

"We've matured, I think," the Spaniard told El Pais. "It's nice to see yourself top, it gives you strength and confidence, but there's a long way to go.

"We had to be more consistent and we are now, that is a defect that we have corrected. The team is not as 'innocent', we are committing fewer errors."

Arsenal continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they welcome high-flying Southampton to the Emirates Stadium.
