Curtis Davies: 'Arsenal don't have battlers'

Hull City defender Curtis Davies believes that Arsenal lack players with a physical presence in their squad as they drew 2-2 with the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

Hull City defender Curtis Davies has expressed his belief that Arsenal don't have any battling players in their squad.

The Gunners came from behind to snatch a point at the death in their clash with Steve Bruce's side at the Emirates Stadium, but dropped two vital points in the title race as they fell further behind leaders Chelsea.

Davies believes that Arsenal lack a physical presence in their midfield, but has insisted that there is no problem with Arsene Wenger's style of play.

He told reporters: "When you look at Arsenal, I guess they've got the footballers, but you can't really see the strong, battling players.

"But the football they play they don't really need that, because if you've got the possession more often than not, you don't need to chase the ball and have big, battling midfielders.

"That's how Arsenal have always done it. They got to this level with Wenger playing this football and why should they change it now?"

Hull are 11th in the Premier League following their draw with the Gunners.
