Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe admits that his side need to be at their best and get a little luck if they are to beat Arsenal for the first time in their history.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has admitted that his side will need to be at their best if they are to get anything out of their Premier League clash with Arsenal on Sunday.

The Cherries beat Stoke City 1-0 last weekend to return to winning ways after back-to-back defeats against Middlesbrough and Sunderland respectively.

Bournemouth have lost all three of their previous meetings with the Gunners, but Howe is not ruling out a historic first win over Arsene Wenger's side.

"We have always been a positive group, win lose or draw and go into the next game with enthusiasm and a high work ethic, with a lot of quality in training," he told reporters.

"Last season against Arsenal we lost both games and I don't think they were comfortable wins for Arsenal.

"We need a little bit of luck, will need all of our players to play at their maximum level and then I think we have a chance to win."

Bournemouth currently sit 10th in the Premier League table, five points clear of the relegation zone.
