Cesc Fabregas is hopeful that Arsenal can win trophies this season after their recent run of form.

Ex-Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas believes that his former club are capable of winning a trophy due to their turnaround in form.

The Barcelona midfielder, who left the Emirates after a prolonged transfer saga in the summer, has admitted that he is pleased to see the North London side improving.

"I've been very lucky because I've been able to watch nearly every game," Fabregas told Sky Sports News.

"They started a little bit without confidence but now they are playing very well and they are scoring goals.

"I like the way they play, so as an Arsenal fan I believe they can do good things and hopefully they will win something at the end of the season."

Arsene Wenger's team have not won any silverware for six years.
