Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has backed teammate Alexandre Lacazette to enjoy a similar level of success as Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.
Since joining from Lyon in the summer, Lacazette has contributed five goals in 10 Premier League appearances, but Ozil feels that the Frenchman has the attributes to emulate his international teammate.
The 29-year-old told SFR Sport: "I think Lacazette's game is different, but I hope he will have as much success as Benzema. He has his head on his shoulders, he works hard.
"I hope he scores as many goals as Benzema with the French national team."
Lacazette has netted just once in 14 appearances for France, while Benzema has 27 goals from 81 outings.
