Charlton Athletic boss Chris Powell praises Emmanuel Frimpong's performances and insists that he will only get better with each game.

Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell has praised Emmanuel Frimpong for his performances since joining on loan from Arsenal.

The 20-year-old, who is at The Valley until New Year's Day, impressed in his second appearance in the 2-0 win over Peterborough United.

Powell commented on the youngster's tough-tackling style and is expecting him to have a big impact on the side in his time at the Addicks.

"He was good again, he wants the ball and he wants to get on it," said Powell.

"He's definitely contributed to us. He wants the ball, he doesn't hide.

"He's a good footballer. He's very strong in the tackle as you saw [against Peterborough] and obviously he's well-schooled by Arsenal. I think he'll get stronger and better each and every game."

Frimpong has been at Arsenal since 2001.
