Bacary Sagna plays 60 minutes for Arsenal Under-21s alongside Jack Wilshere and Emmanuel Frimpong as all three players step up their comebacks from long-term injuries.

Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna has stepped up his comeback from a broken leg by playing an hour for the club's Under-21 side.

Sagna has been out since suffering the injury in May against Norwich City, but managed to come through 60 minutes unscathed at Underhill against Reading.

The French international was joined by Jack Wilshere, who made his second outing for the reserve side, impressing in a 74-minute display in midfield.

A strong Gunners' lineup also contained first-team squad members Emmanuel Frimpong, Andre Santos and Francis Coquelin.

Wilshere was at the heart of both Arsenal goals in the 2-0 victory, with youngsters Serge Gnarby and Chuba Akpom getting on the scoresheet.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger watched on from the stands as Wilshere and Sagna edged closer to a first-team return with important minutes on the pitch.
