Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is delighted with the depth in midfield he has in his current squad.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that he has more depth in midfield in his squad now than in previous years.

The Frenchman can call upon the services of Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta, Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey, along with Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Emmanuel Frimpong, who have now recovered from their respective injuries.

"Yes [we have lots of options we didn't have before], that is true," Wenger is quoted as saying on Arsenal's official website. "Especially in midfield, centre-backs as well.

"When you think at the moment we have Wilshere who is not playing, Rosicky who is not playing and he was very important for us last year. Frimpong is not playing, Coquelin is not playing, Ramsey too. So we have exceptional choice.

"In terms of quality and numbers in midfield [it is one of our best squads ever]. For sure."

Arsenal are at Manchester City for their fifth Premier League game of the season on Sunday.
