Arsenal's Bacary Sagna: 'Comeback was emotional for me and Jack Wilshere'

Bacary Sagna says that it was "special" for him and teammate Jack Wilshere to return to action for Arsenal after lengthy absences.

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has revealed that he felt "emotional" returning to the Emirates after a six-month layoff with a broken leg.

The full-back made his first-team comeback in Arsenal's 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, while midfielder Jack Wilshere also returned to the field following over a year out with ankle and knee problems.

"Me and Jack had a little chat before the game," Sagna told the club's official website. "We both felt a bit stressed, but it is a good stress because it is always a pleasure to play here at the Emirates in front of the fans.

"It was special for us, even more for him because he has been out for a long time. Me, I have been out for six months and the last time I played here I broke my leg, so it was very emotional."

Meanwhile, manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that Wilshere is unlikely to play against Reading in the club's League Cup clash this week.
