Former England winger Trevor Sinclair has claimed that Theo Walcott would be better deployed up front for Arsenal, rather than on the flanks.
The 26-year-old has largely been used as a winger during his career, although Wenger recently stated that he would share striking responsibilities with Olivier Giroud.
Sinclair told BBC Sport: "I think [Walcott] is a bit limited on the wing because a full-back will show you outside and give you a lot of space because of your pace.
"I think Walcott up front gives them the extra dimension of being able to stretch teams. Instinctively he's a great finisher, but he's got better and matured."
Walcott has scored 78 goals in all competitions for Arsenal since moving from Southampton in 2006.
