Arsene Wenger: 'I felt Arsenal players were nervous'

Arsene Wenger admits that his Arsenal players looked nervous against Manchester United, but insists he is not worried by the dropped points.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he is not worried by the Gunners dropping points at home to Manchester United, despite claiming that he felt his players were nervous.

A goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium, coming just four days after the 5-1 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield, leaves Arsenal one point off leaders Chelsea in second place.

"I felt we were nervous," Wenger is quoted as saying by the Daily Star. "Our defensive focus was extreme as we conceded so many goals on Saturday. When you are hit like we were on Saturday, the players want not to lose it.

"It is not worrying because we care about what we do and when you concede five goals like we did on Saturday, we are only human beings and that is always what you get after a game like that. We lost two points and we missed an opportunity to go top of the league again, but a point keeps us in the race."

The North London outfit face Liverpool in the FA Cup this weekend.
