Arsene Wenger: "We could have won it"

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger feels that his side could have taken more from their goalless draw with Manchester United in their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that his side had enough opportunities to beat Manchester United in their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners had several good chances, none more so than striker Olivier Giroud, but they were unable to find the net in their goalless draw as they missed the chance to go back to the top of the Premier League.

Wenger told BBC Sport: "Overall, we could have won it. It was a game of few chances. Our defensive focus was extreme as we conceded so many goals on Saturday. In the end either side could have won 1-0.

"Manchester United are a good team, so when you go forward they can catch you. It is important to recover physically and prepare for the next game. We want to stay in the FA Cup. The title race is absolutely open for many teams."

Wenger's side are currently second in the table, just one point behind leaders Chelsea.
