Arsene Wenger: 'Laurent Koscielny out for a while'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claims that Laurent Koscielny will be sidelined "for a while" with the leg injury that he picked up against Manchester City.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that Laurent Koscielny will be sidelined "for a while" with the leg injury that he picked up during Saturday's 6-3 defeat against Manchester City.

The French defender was stretchered off at the Etihad Stadium after suffering a deep gash in the build-up to City's second goal.

"He has a cut and he will be out for a while but for how long I don't know," the club's official website quotes Wenger as saying.

Arsenal, who are now two points clear at the top of the table, return to Premier League action on December 23 when they welcome Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium.
