Preview: Arsenal vs. Southampton

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.

Two of the Premier League's top three sides meet on Saturday when Arsenal play host to Southampton.

The Saints, who sit three points adrift of the hosts in third place, could go top of the standings if they win at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal suffered their first league defeat since the opening day of the season when they lost 1-0 to Manchester United a fortnight ago.

Southampton extended their unbeaten run to eight matches when they beat Hull City 4-1 before the international break.

Arsenal cruised to a 6-1 victory in the corresponding fixture last season.

Theo Walcott could return for the Gunners after recovering from the stomach injury that has kept him out for a month, while midfielder Jack Wilshere could miss out due to an ankle knock.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has no fresh injury concerns and could name the same XI that beat Hull.
