Team News: Sunderland, Arsenal unchanged for Stadium of Light clash

Sunderland remain unchanged for this afternoon's visit of Arsenal, while the Gunners welcome Jack Wilshere back to their squad.

Arsene Wenger has named an unchanged Arsenal starting lineup for today's Premier League trip to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

The Gunners welcome Jack Wilshere back into their squad, meanwhile, as the England international steps up his comeback from a long-term injury layoff.

Mohamed Elneny and Aaron Ramsey are selected in central midfield once again, while Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will link up behind lone striker Olivier Giroud in the North-East.

Sunderland also remain unchanged from their 3-0 win over Norwich City last weekend, meaning a start between the sticks for Vito Mannone against his former side.

Jermain Defoe will lead the line for the hosts, looking to build on his impressive run of nine goals in 14 appearances so far this calendar year.

The Black Cats head into today's match needing a point to climb out of the relegation zone, but they have a poor record against Arsenal with just one win in the last 24 meetings.

Sunderland: Mannone, Yedlin, van Aanholt, Kaboul, Kone, Kirchhoff, M'Vila, Cattermole, Borini, Khazri, Defoe
Subs: Pickford, Jones, Larsson, Rodwell, N'Doye, O'Shea, Watmore

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Elneny, Ramsey, Iwobi, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud
Subs: Ospina, Gabriel, Coquelin, Wilshere, Campbell, Walcott, Welbeck
