Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly planning to hijack Eric Garcia's proposed move to Barcelona after the Catalans changed the terms of their agreement.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had previously confirmed that Garcia would join Barcelona this summer, and the 20-year-old is thought to have verbally agreed a five-year contract with Ronald Koeman's side.
However, the cash-strapped Blaugrana supposedly now want Garcia to lower his salary demands given their volatile financial situation, and the remainder of his wages will be paid in performance-related bonuses.
As a result, the Daily Star reports that Arsenal and Chelsea could attempt to lure Garcia to the English capital instead, as the two sides would have no problem beating Barcelona's salary offer.
The report adds that Garcia - who has turned down the chance to earn more money at Man City - remains undecided on his next destination, but Barca are demanding an answer by the end of the month.
The La Masia graduate has only made 10 appearances across all competitions during a frustrating 2020-21 campaign, including a mere two starts in the Premier League for Guardiola's title-chasers.
