Arsenal allegedly have no plans to cash in on Oleksandr Zinchenko during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal reportedly have no plans to part ways with Oleksandr Zinchenko during the summer transfer window.

Since making the switch from Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium in 2022, Zinchenko has been part of an Arsenal squad that has challenged for the Premier League title.

Although they narrowly missed out last season, the Gunners are involved in a thrilling three-horse race this time around, currently holding a narrow advantage over Liverpool and Manchester City.

However, although Zinchenko is only five Premier League appearances short of what he made during 2022-23, his position in the team has felt less assured.

Seventeen of his 22 top-flight outings have come from the starting lineup, yet a recent four-game absence through a calf injury has led to the Ukraine international being selected on the substitutes' bench upon his return.

Jakub Kiwior has started to impress at left-back in his place, and it remains to be seen who will get the nod when Arsenal attempt to overturn a 1-0 deficit when they face Porto in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta also hopes to be able to call upon Jurrien Timber after a serious knee injury sooner rather than later, raising question marks over where Zinchenko will stand in the pecking order.

Nevertheless, according to Football Insider, the North Londoners do not currently plan on cashing in on Zinchenko during the next transfer window.

That is despite him reaching the halfway point of his four-year contract by that stage, all parties likely needing to sit down and discuss the player's future later this year.

The report suggests that the 27-year-old remains a key figure in the dressing room, something that is taken under consideration by Arteta.

In total, Zinchenko - who could eventually cost Arsenal £32m if all add-ons are activated - has made 61 appearances in all competitions, contributing two goals and four assists.

Earlier this month, it was claimed that the likes of Bayern Munich and Newcastle United were monitoring the situation, particularly the former who may sell Alphonso Davies.

Although Arsenal are in a position where they ideally need to make sales in order to boost their position with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules, parting ways with Kieran Tierney - currently on loan at Real Sociedad - is their preferred choice to reduce their options at left-back.
