Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly identified Rennes starlet Eduardo Camavinga as his top target for the summer transfer window.
The Gunners could be set for an overhaul of sorts in the middle of the park, as Dani Ceballos has returned to Real Madrid from his loan spell while Granit Xhaka is believed to be closing in on a move to Roma.
A new addition to the engine room could therefore be in order before the 2021-22 campaign, but Arsenal are supposedly set to miss out on long-term target Houssem Aouar to La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
As a result, Le 10 Sport claims that the Gunners are now prioritising a move for Rennes' Camavinga, who is due to become a free agent at the end of next season.
However, the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are also said to be keen on the 18-year-old, and Rennes will reportedly demand a whopping £86m despite his contract situation.
Camavinga scored one goal and assisted two more in 35 Ligue 1 games last season, but he was an unused substitute during France Under-21s' European Championship exit to the Netherlands back in May.
