Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed that his club are "having conversations" with Bukayo Saka's representatives as they attempt to tie the teenager down to a new contract.
The 18-year-old has already made 29 appearances for the Gunners during the 2019-20 campaign, contributing three goals and nine assists for the first team in all competitions.
The England Under-19 international will see his current deal at the Emirates Stadium expire in June 2021, though, and a number of clubs are believed to be keeping a close eye on developments.
According to Arteta, "the club is doing what it has to do" as they look to convince the versatile left-sided player to commit his future to the capital giants.
"The club is doing what it has to do and is having conversations. [Hopefully] we'll get it resolved," Arteta told reporters.
Saka has featured in 11 of Arsenal's last 12 Premier League matches as a left-back despite playing the majority of his football in the first half of the 2019-20 campaign as a winger.
