Lucas Perez heading for swift Arsenal exit?

Arsenal striker Lucas Perez could reportedly be on his way out of the Emirates next month.

Arsenal striker Lucas Perez could reportedly leave the club in January just five months into his contract.

The 28-year-old moved to the Emirates from Deportivo La Coruna in August for a fee of £17.1m but has found game time hard to come by and sits behind Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud in the pecking order.

The Spaniard has an impressive strike rate of five goals in seven appearances in all competitions - including a Champions League hat-trick - but has yet to find the net in the league.

According to Italian publication Calcio Mercato, Southampton are considering making a bid for Perez next month, with manager Claude Puel looking for more firepower as he makes a push for the European places.

Perez racked up 18 goals in 37 La Liga appearances for Depor last term.
