Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly considering a January move for Genoa centre-back Armando Izzo.
The 23-year-old came through the youth system at Napoli, but did not make a single first-team appearance for his hometown club, eventually moving on to Avellino, before joining Genoa in 2014.
According to Il Secolo XIX, Arsenal had a scout in attendance during Genoa's 0-0 draw with Napoli earlier this month and Izzo was the player being watched.
The tall defender, who is also believed to be attracting interest from elsewhere, has made 10 Serie A appearances for Genoa this season.
Arsenal are expected to be in the market for a new centre-back in the winter transfer window due to fears over the fitness of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, who have both spent time on the sidelines thus far this season.
