Report: Arsenal to re-sign Mathieu Flamini this week

Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of former Gunner Mathieu Flamini later this week.

Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of former Gunner Mathieu Flamini later this week.

The 29-year-old France midfielder, who made 102 Premier League appearances for the London club between 2004 and 2008, is currently a free agent after being released by AC Milan earlier this summer.

He began training with Arsenal two weeks ago and, according to BBC Sport, he is likely to sign a short-term contract at the Emirates Stadium in the coming days.

Flamini could feature in Saturday's match at Fulham.
