Preview: Monaco vs. Bayer Leverkusen

Sports Mole looks ahead to Tuesday's Champions League clash between Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen at Stade Louis II.

Big-spending Monaco start their Champions League campaign on Tuesday when they welcome Bayer Leverkusen to the Stade Louis II.

The French club returns to European action for the first time since 2006 after securing a second-placed finish in the Ligue 1 table last season.

With Leonardo Jardim now in charge, Monaco have started the new campaign with a disappointing four points from their opening five games.

Meanwhile, Leverkusen are currently at the top of the Bundesliga standings with two wins and a draw from three matches.

The German club, who are managed by Roger Schmidt, reached the last 16 of last season's competition before being knocked out by Paris Saint-Germain.

Lacina Traore remains sidelined for Monaco, while Leverkusen have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match.
