Brett Holman has shared his relief and insisted that Aston Villa fully merited their late equaliser against West Bromwich Albion.
Villa trailed until the last ten minutes thanks to a Shane Long strike in a tense Midlands derby, but found a response through substitute Darren Bent to secure a 1-1 draw.
Australian international Holman told BBC Sport that the support of the Villa Park faithful roared on Paul Lambert's side into the closing stages.
Holman said: "You always have your doubts, but with the way we were playing and the amount of energy we were putting into the game.
"We had the belief and the crowd behind us. It was definitely deserved."
A point for Villa lifts them above Wigan Athletic into 15th place in the Premier League table after six matches.
