A number of Premier League clubs are allegedly unhappy that Aston Villa defender Kortney Hause was not handed a red card against West Ham United.
Within the space of a few seconds during Sunday's fixture, Hause and teammate Ezri Konsa both committed challenges which could have been perceived to be a red card offence.
While Konsa was dismissed for a professional foul, Konsa made little effort to win the ball as he took out Pablo Fornals with his forearm.
After neither the referee or VAR opted to send off the latter of the duo, Football Insider claims that complaints were made to Premier League officials.
Questions have been asked over why Hause did not follow his teammate to the dressing room, or why the offence was deemed less punishable than Konsa clipping Jarrod Bowen as he entered the penalty area.
After the game, Villa manager Dean Smith acknowledged that Hause could have been sent off, while claiming that Konsa only deserved a yellow card at most.
