Aston Villa are reportedly keen to table a £1m bid for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray.

Aston Villa are reportedly considering a swoop for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray.

The 29-year-old is believed to be one of Villa manager Paul Lambert's top targets for the January window after impressing at Selhurst Park so far this season.

It is believed that the Midlands outfit are ready to table £1m for the forward but may face competition from Bolton Wanderers, according to the Daily Star.

Reports have claimed that Bolton boss Dougie Freedman is keen to reunite with his former player, who has netted 20 goals in 18 appearances.
