Aston Villa have made a move for Norwich City player Wes Hoolahan, a report claims.
Villa manager Paul Lambert recently said that he was looking to sign "experienced" players to help his youthful squad, adding that he had "identified ones" that he was trying to bring in.
The Mirror now reports that Villa have decided to approach the Canaries with a £1.5m bid, which they hope will be enough to secure the Republic of Ireland international's signature.
There is apparently a doubt over whether Hoolahan will now be involved in Norwich's FA Cup match against Fulham on Saturday.
He has been with the club since joining from Blackpool in 2008.
