Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has been banned from the touchline for his team's remaining three games in La Liga.
The 45-year-old has been handed a three-game ban after a ball was thrown onto the pitch during his side's 1-0 win over Malaga last Saturday.
Television cameras appeared to show that a ball boy was responsible for the incident, which disrupted play while Malaga were on a counter-attack.
However, because the ball was thrown from Atletico's technical area - rules state that the coach is responsible for all activity in that area - Simeone has paid the price.
The Atletico boss was sent to the stands by referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz after he reportedly did not tell the match official who threw the ball onto the pitch.
Atleti are neck and neck with Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table, while Real Madrid sit just one point behind in third place.
Simeone will miss matches against Rayo Vallecano, Levante and Celta Vigo.
