Atletico Madrid will attempt to continue their remarkable start to the La Liga campaign when they travel to Granada on Thursday evening.
Granada, who currently sit 13th in the table having collected 11 points from their 10 matches thus far, have won just once on their own patch this season, but they enter the match off the back of a 1-0 win over Elche at the weekend.
Atletico, meanwhile, currently trail leaders Barcelona by just one point at the top of the table. Diego Simeone's side have won nine and lost just one of their 10 league fixtures to date – a run of form that has moved them five points clear of third place and capital rivals Real Madrid.
Granada will not have fond memories of recent meetings with Atletico having lost each of the last three matches between the two sides. The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 1-0 win for Atletico, who were also 5-0 winners on their own patch in April.
The home side have no fresh injury concerns from their victory over Elche at the weekend, but they are still without the services of Dani Benitez and summer signing Piti.
Riki, who also arrived in the summer, is pushing for a start after a low-key beginning to his career with the club, while Argentine winger Diego Buonanotte, who was surprisingly left out last time out, is also expected to be selected against the capital outfit.
Mario Suarez sat out Atletico's thumping 5-0 win over Real Betis last time out, but the Spaniard is expected to return to the midfield. Turkish international Arda Turan is also pushing for a start, with youngster Oliver Torres expected to miss out despite scoring on his debut at the weekend.
Simeone is unlikely to tinker with his forward pair, meanwhile, with Diego Costa and David Villa both in stunning form in the early part of the season.
