Barcelona B downed by Las Palmas

Segunda Division leaders Las Palmas see off strugglers Barcelona B to consolidate top spot in the league standings.

Barcelona B remain in trouble at the bottom end of the Segunda Division following a 2-0 defeat against league leaders Las Palmas this evening.

The Catalan club have now won just one of their last 12 league outings to slip within one point of the relegation zone in the second tier.

Nauzet Aleman got the visitors up and running when he found the net in the first half, and Roque Mesa compounded Barca's misery when he added a second 12 minutes from time at the Mini Estadi.

Los Amarillos remain top of the league standings following the victory, three points ahead of Sporting Gijon, who play tomorrow evening.
