Barcelona have confirmed that Jonathan dos Santos's knee surgery that was undertaken on Tuesday morning has been a success.

The Mexican international picked up an anterior cruciate ligament injury during a training session with his Spanish club in October.

Corrective surgery was scheduled for Tuesday, which has now been completed, with Dos Santos also tweeting a picture from his hospital bed.

It is believed that the midfielder, who is the brother of Villarreal's Giovani dos Santos, will be out of action for the next six months.
