Jordi Alba hopes to hang up boots at Barcelona

Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba reiterates that he wants to remain at the club for "many, many years", despite attracting the interest of an array of clubs.

Jordi Alba has suggested that he would like to retire at Barcelona, having recently agreed fresh terms with the club.

The Spanish full-back played an integral part in Barca's treble-winning campaign last time out, making 45 appearances in all competitions.

After committing his future to Barcelona until 2020, Alba is now eager to add to his personal medal collection.

"I want to play for Barcelona for many, many years," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "When I was young, I had to leave but I finally came back to where I wanted to be.

"I have learned a lot in these three years and we have won several titles. You never know what the future has in store but, if possible, I'd like to hang up my boots at Barcelona."

Alba made a return to Camp Nou in 2012 following spells with Cornella, Gimnastic and Valencia.
