Eupen defender Moussa Wague has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Barcelona.
Wague has spent the start of his professional career in Belgium's top flight, but the 19-year-old announced himself on the world scene while representing Senegal at the World Cup.
According to Mundo Deportivo, that has resulted in Barcelona instigating discussions with Eupen regarding a potential deal during the current window.
The report suggests that Wague would initially spend time in the club's 'B' squad, but the Catalan giants are looking to switch Sergi Roberto from right-back to central midfield, freeing up a space at the back.
Sporting director Eric Abidal and general manager Pep Segura are said to be working on an agreement with Eupen in order for Wague to link up with Barca for pre-season.
Wague has made a total of 40 senior appearances for Eupen, with a further 12 caps being won for his country.
